With hits like "Break The House Down" and international collaborations including Daft Punk and David Guetta, Laidback Luke knows to put his stamp on to the dance world. He is also very committed to emerging talent such as Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano and Afrojack.
Laidback Luke flies almost daily around the world for performances. And although he is grateful for his worldwide success the half Dutch, half Filipino DJ is way more impressed by the love of his life, his children and of course his parents. In the latest installment of the video series 'My Son the DJ' Laidback Luke gives an unique insight into his private life.
As a child he had a lot of interest in music, but unlike his father and brother, he was no hero in playing instruments. "If I tried to play an instrument there was always someone better than me. That was always a deep-seated frustration." When he discovered that he could music with a computer, everything changed. He released his first hit at the age of 19 called 'Touche'. Since then Lucas treats his audience with his futuristic electro sound, superman outfits and crazy dance moves and became one of the biggest DJs in the world.
