While many of my fellow music enthusiasts have descended upon Georgia for the second go of TomorrowWorld, I'm just sitting here like, "I wonder if I can find any good music to share?" Hopefully you all agree, but I think I may have succeeded. As usual, my music selection is all over the place. Enjoy!
The current captain at the helm of the In Search of Sunrise franchise, Richard Durand, is back with a tasty new trance mix entitled "In Your Hands". Featuring the soulful and enchanting vocals of LA based singer Fisher, this is uplifting at it's finest. Backed by some solid rhythms and catchy hooks, "In Your Hands" will probably be on your Something Trance playlist on repeat for a while.
I'll be the first to admit that I've never been a huge One Republic fan. Even Alesso's blockbuster remix of "Lose Myself" only did so much for me. That being said, when I was sent this remix of their new track "I Lived" by young German producer Asalto, I had to take a listen, and I'm glad I did. Blending some of the acoustic sounds from the original with some sexy new synth work, I think this track could be big. It's the right mix of dance and pop to appeal to a mainstream audience and yet still kill it on the dancefloor.
I've been borderline in love with the incredibly talented Bebe Rexha since her amazing collaboration with Cash Cash on the highly addictive "Take Me Home." Earlier this year, she released her own single, "Can't Stop Drinking About You" which is finally getting the attention it truly deserves. A slew of remixes were released recently, including edits by the Chainsmokers and Quintino. However, this trap mix by Grabbitz was definitely one of the most interesting. I'll just let you give it a listen for yourself.
As always, I love to hear what you guys think of the music. Leave a comment, shoot me a message, or if you prefer to call me out in front of a bigger crowd, you can always find me on twitter using @BangerOfTheDay!
